the brand.

REVIN is a Zambia-based manufacturer and distributor of FMCG products in the African market. As their branding partner, our mission was simple: to create a new and attractive brand that took their latest product, CHIRPY, a juicy, tropical, deliciously carbonated drink, to the masses.

 

We identified the sweet spot where fun and engaging branding meets consumer needs and market opportunities. Inspired by the beverages' ingredients - our concept was born. We combined the worlds of design and packaging to create CHIRPY for the people.

The brief.

REVIN commissioned Agent Orange Design to create CHIRPY's logo and establish its distinct brand proposition to capitalise on Africa's booming soft drinks market. Our new brand needed to be bright, bold and delicious.

 

With flavours to help your body unwind, each can of CHIRPY offers a moment away from the manic to press pause, unwind and relax. The soft drinks range consists of five refreshing flavours: pineapple, apple, lemon, grape, and orange. 

 

Remaining true and honest to the target consumers, we based our strategy for the brand identity on essential and minimal communication.

Our approach.

VIBRANT GRAPHICS

Inspired by a tropical vibe, our bold backgrounds match the drink’s bold flavour palette with juicy crops of illustrated fruit. Striking secondary patterns and in-your-face branding put CHIRPY’s tropical, juicy refreshment on repeat again and again and again across media platforms.

 

POWERFUL SHELF STAND OUT

The packaging design speaks to classic drinkers while converting new recruits. Supported with a happy logo, CHIRPY brightens the consumer's day and achieves a powerful shelf stand out across the range with a simple, straightforward package style.

The results.

CHIRPY started to pop on the shelves with its fun and fruity new look in the competitive African market, starting with Zambia-based stores. The brand is being well received and, thanks to customer demand, soon everyone will be joining team CHIRPY.
