MCMC (Mzansi Chamber Music Collective) is a dynamic and forward-thinking ensemble dedicated to fostering the art of chamber music through collaboration, innovation, and a shared passion for performance. When tasked with creating their new logo, we sought to visually capture the collective’s essence—harmony, unity, and the seamless flow of musical ideas.
The resulting abstract stave concept symbolises the interconnectedness of musicians, where each individual contributes to a unified, harmonious performance. Its circular form emphasises collaboration, while the minimalist and modern design ensures the logo’s adaptability across a variety of platforms. MCMC’s commitment to artistic excellence and forward-thinking innovation is elegantly encapsulated in this design.

The Typeface
For MCMC’s typeface, we’ve chosen Montserrat Regular and Futura Medium for a balance of modern sophistication and emphasis. Montserrat gives “Mzansi” and “Collective” a clean, contemporary feel, while Futura Medium highlights “Chamber Music” with a strong, distinctive presence. This ensures the brand name is both visually engaging and clearly communicated.
