Forty years in mining pumps, from eMalahleni to every corner of South Africa.

Lectropower works from eMalahleni in Mpumalanga and has supported South Africa’s mining and industrial sectors for more than 40 years.

The company supplies pumps from FLYGT, Pioneer and KSB, rents dewatering equipment, repairs standard and flameproof pumps in a MASC-certified workshop, and engineers bespoke water management systems. It is the sole FLYGT distributor in Mpumalanga.

Agent Orange Design has worked with Lectropower for more than ten years, from its logo through to print material and now its website. We already knew the business, the people and the sector before the first wireframe was drawn.

02

A 40-year reputation, held back by a website that did not show it.

The previous site was a static set of pages that no longer reflected the size of the business.

It did not show the five service lines, the OEM partnerships or the certifications that mining clients look for before they pick up the phone, and it could not be updated easily by the Lectropower team. The brief: an informational website that positions Lectropower as one accountable partner for mining and industrial pumping, speaks to engineers and procurement teams in their own terms, and turns visits into enquiries.

03 Our approach

Five decisions that put credentials before catalogue.

Decision 1 of 5

Lead with the sector and the credentials, not the catalogue.

WhyMining clients choose a pump partner on trust: experience, certification and brand access. Those facts had to be visible within seconds, before any product.

What it achievedThe home page opens with one promise and six trust badges: 40+ years, MASC-certified, sole FLYGT distributor, SANS 60079, 51% black-owned and BEE compliant, nationwide support.

Decision 2 of 5

Structure the site the way clients buy.

WhyA visitor arrives with a problem: a breakdown, a flooded pit, a tender, a hazardous area. The site had to answer by service, by brand and by mining segment.

What it achievedFive services, three OEM brand pages and three mining segments, each cross-linked.

Decision 3 of 5

Say “one accountable partner” on every page.

WhySupply, rental, repair, panels, fabrication and commissioning sit under one roof with in-house testing. Competitors cannot claim this, so it became the thread through all the copy.

What it achievedA consistent message from the About page to the final call to action, in plain technical English an engineer recognises as true.

Decision 4 of 5

Make the site work for the sales team.

WhyA website earns its keep by producing enquiries that reach the right people with the right detail.

What it achievedAn enquiry form with enquiry type, product and service fields, invisible spam protection, branded emails, a branded Google map and the company profile one tap away on every page.

Decision 5 of 5

Keep measuring after launch.

WhyLaunch day is the start of a website’s life, not the end. We audit, fix and report, so the site keeps improving.

What it achievedSince July 2026 we have logged and fixed accessibility, contact page, email delivery and page speed issues, with a monthly report to the client.

06 Beyond the screen

One voice in print and online.

A four-page company profile, delivered in September 2026 as a print-ready file and a digital version.

It lives on the website as a page-turning flipbook and a download from the home, About, Contact, Services and Products pages, so the sales team and the site share one piece of literature.

One brand, from the phone in a buyer’s pocket to the profile on the desk.

The profile reuses the website’s photography, icon set and copy, so a client sees the same company in both.

07 The whole page

Eleven pages, each ending in a route to contact.

Each service and brand page answers one question fully, then makes it easy to get in touch.

FAQ

Questions about this project

How do you build a website for a technical business such as mining and industrial pumping?

Start with what buyers use to decide: experience, certification and brand access. For Lectropower, the home page opens with one promise and six trust badges, and the rest of the site is organised the way clients buy, by service, by brand and by mining segment. The copy stays in plain technical English that an engineer recognises as true.

Will the website bring in enquiries that the sales team can act on?

Yes, because the enquiry form asks for the detail the sales desk needs before anything is sent. It captures the enquiry type, the product and the service, invisible spam protection keeps junk out, and branded emails carry each enquiry straight to the sales desk.

Can the Lectropower team update the website themselves?

Yes. Lectropower’s team can edit the text and images on their own pages through an Editor account, with no developer needed. Agent Orange Design handles website maintenance behind the scenes, covering security, software updates and backups, so everyday edits cannot break anything, and the site stays current with modern browsers and readable by search and AI engines.

What happens after the website launches?

We keep measuring and fixing. Since July 2026 we have logged and fixed accessibility, contact page, email delivery and page speed issues for Lectropower, and the client receives a monthly report.
